Mission Codename As prEDICTed
Hear ye! Hear ye! Due to Lord Franklin’s wine cellar running dry, the king declares a Double Agent by royal Edict! Or, in other word, the Jacob Franklin is GONE and we have another powerful, hyper rich Napa red lined up. Just twenty cases remaining of this popular wine!
“Lovers of Napa Valley red wines in their more classic ripe, juicy, plush forms will want to hop on some of the 2019 offers when they come through and stock up.” – Wine Advocate
“Bussin (adj): something is REALLY good”
Have some teenagers at home? Try this. Pour a glass, take a sip and proclaim “THIS WINE IS BUSSIN’”. Then revel in their amazement at how hip you are.
Lit, dope, hella fly, or just straight up awesome. Whatever adjectives or hyperbole you want to use, this wine crushes it. Especially if you like high-end Napa reds made by rockstar winemakers.
And you DON’T like paying high end prices.
Of course you don’t. You’re riding with Wine Spies. Flo Rida is bumping and we’re taking it LOW, LOW, LOW. What we’re trying to say is you save $51 per bottle. An incredible 64% savings!
Only $32 for a wine, this good is flat-out BONKERS.
Edict is known in small circles for making small lots of wine with King Midas richness. They’ve recruited top talent winemaking over the years, from Jay Buoncristiani to Mark Herold and the KING himself, JULIAN FAYARD, the man behind Edict. The French-born star is known for his work at Smith Haut Lafitte, Lafite Rothschild, Covert Estate, and his own Julian Fayard wines.
Many of which get huge scores and run well into the $100-200+ range.
This 2019 (a beautiful vintage) Bordeaux style blend flashes everything you love about well-made Napa reds - flush with ripe fruit, almost “jammy” but certainly boasting a ton of complexity and savory elements. Sourcing fruit from high on Mt Veeder obviously helps in that aspect. It has deep black and red fruits, warm plums, black cherry, and cassis. Chocolate-coated blueberries, and a healthy dose of expensive French oak - that 100% NEW Taransaud hits different. Warm spices find their way back into a finish that doesn’t quit.
We cannot overstate the value here. You’ll LOVE it. Treat yourself to a few and thank us later. Do it quick though! This won’t last.
