Casa Vinicola Bennati has from its outset been devoted to producing the local wine Valpolicella, specifically the aging of Amarone. These are the flagship wines of our portfolio.

Grapes for Amarone are harvested some three weeks later than usual to allow for a greater concentration. The bunches are put in small crates inside the “fruttaio” - a large room where ventilation is controlled by opening windows, allowing the grapes to shrivel.

Oak aging gives a remarkable warm bouquet reminiscent of dried fruits and spices rounded off with the classic bitter almond taste of Amarone and intense scents of stewed fruit and jam.
