Hand-Picked in October 2019, the 2019 is a complete knockout, with phenomenal potential. To my palate, these are some of the best wines that Napa has seen in almost a decade. I felt particularly bullish about the 2013 and the 2016 vintages, but the 2019’s have a finesse, an elegance and a silkiness of tannins that is unmatched in recent memory.
Intriguing nose of red currant, rose petals, raspberry, vanilla, black tea and dried flowers. A bright cherry attack leads to a juicy mouth of plum, blueberry, red currant, boysenberry and mocha.
