Know him? You might if you’ve been around for a while. He’s been at it for a quarter century, helping put Robert Craig and Hess Collection on the map. Dolum is one of his newer projects. He focuses on site-specific Cabernet and takes no shortcuts. These joins fruit mostly from Oakville supported by Stags Leap into one gloriously powerful, sexy wine.

Juicy red and black fruits, with blackberry pie, plum jam, and sweet blueberry up front and some vanilla, chocolate-covered espresso beans, and plenty of toasty oak hanging out the sides. All are integrated perfectly and held in check by dusty tannins. At our price (like 2/3 off) it’s a massive no-brainer and totally crushes your previous computations of what makes a great QPR.
