Mission Codename Schooner than later
Caymus Family Presents - the latest Red Schooner!!
Lovers of rich and opulent, sweetly fruited reds this is your DREAM wine. Of course, it is… with CAYMUS at the helm of this ship they’ll steer you on a luxury liner to vinous paradise!
Red Schooner is RARELY discounted anywhere, but of course, we broke down the walls between you and the best price on the planet.
This “red wine of the world” is made at Caymus, sourced from Malbec grown in Mendoza. As a Wine Enthusiast post explains: “Red Schooner wines are an international exploration of great grapes and winegrowing regions. The Red Schooner Voyage 10 is Malbec from the Andes Mountains of Argentina, chilled and transported by sea to Caymus in the Napa Valley.” There it’s given the magic touch and transformed.
If you love that Caymus style, then you know what to expect here. BIG and LUSH. Raised in French and American oak (80%new), they coaxed all manner of sweet raspberry coulis, red plums, and glazed red cherries out of these grapes and then infused them with traces of Tahitian vanilla bean laced with tobacco, warm leather, and exotic spices. UNCTUOUS. Hedonistic. That’s how we’d describe it, just to drive the point home. While it is dry, it has the slightest trace of residual sugar which helps amplify the flavors and adds to the terrific mouthfeel.
With wine labeling laws as they are, even Caymus, arguably America’s most popular wine family, can’t name a vintage on the wine, thus we get ‘Number 10’ (the tenth voyage of this project.) Not much was made, and we fought tooth and nail to get a VERY LIMITED supply.
Please make haste! It will not last. Don’t miss this schooner.
