This wine is inspired by the original homesteader’s water well dug on the Shannon Ranch property in the early 1870s. This well was their sustenance, establishing the land’s agriculture and first vineyards. The well was resilient as the devil for over a century and has never run dry to this date. This wine is sourced from such a proven vineyard site that has been over a century in the making, creating graceful, age-worthy wines that express the distinctive terroir of Coombsville.
Shows a beautifully dense purple pigment. The fruity aromatics seamlessly transition into the palate completed with savory notes of thyme, bay leaf, and violets. Plum, fig, cherry, and currant characters are showcased with oak subtleties. It can age gracefully for 7-10 years, or be enjoyed now with decanting.
