Mission Codename Won't take ño for an answer

ABC. Anything but Chardonnay. Don’t you feel like that occasionally even if you’re a Chard-o-holic?

That A in ABC stands for… drum roll… Albariño!

Marimar is back in the house - this time with a lip-smacking crisp white deal!

It has all the wake-me-up shock power of jumping into a 39-degree ice bath. Minus the shortness of breath, mental torture, or shrinkage. This scored huge on the refreshment scale (on Wine Enthusiast too, it’s the highest rated of its kind!) affordable as can be, and delivers pure satisfaction with every sip. Especially at our price!

Living the dream lifestyle magazine Robb Report says “for those who love that zing of acidity in a white wine and that core of citrus layered with stone fruit, there’s a great alternative white: Albariño… and fortunately for Sauvignon Blanc drinkers looking to branch out, there are more and more producers turning out vibrant versions.”

This Albariño comes straight with laser-guided precision, delivering a direct strike of peach, honeysuckle, melon, and floral goodness. It’s rich in texture while zingy on the palate, unique and delish as can be.

As Wine Spectator raves in an article titled, “Catalonia to California: Marimar Torres cultivates her own wine legacy in Sonoma.” This small winery is led by a true renaissance lady - born in Spain as an heiress to the Torres wine legacy, she speaks six languages, has degrees in enology, and leads the charge in making some truly fantastic wines for her eponymous estate.

Her strength pairs nicely with the deep talent and knowledge of winemaker Bill Dyer, an OG who came to Napa in 1976. He worked with Ric Forman early on, developed Sterling Vineyard’s single-vineyard program, and helped with Sodaro Estate, and Frog’s Leap Winery, among others. Today he makes his own wine and continues consulting closely with Marimar Torres on their vinous adventures. Like bringing the Atlantic’s most popular grape to the Pacific and NAILING it stylistically with a huge YUM factor.

Grab a case before it’s too late, pour a glass, and get your oyster shucking on!

92 Points – Wine Enthusiast

“High-toned acidity keeps this wine fresh and succulent, with strong fruit flavors of stone fruit, citrus and white flower. A touch of baking spice rides along the fruity midpalate, the wine fermented in stainless steel.”
