Mission Codename Vice grip
Before we get into it, know that we 100% guarantee a smoke-taint-free experience. Any 2020 wines we offer will meet our high standards and will show ZERO impact from the fires. This is our promise to you.
With that said, here’s another chance to score this straight-up indulgent, under-the-radar Napa Cabernet at a wicked good discount.
Normally $89 and we are busting it out on the low low, as we do every day. For you, it’s nearly 60% OFF, down to $37. While it lasts…
We’ve never seen or heard of The Vice, but now it’s firmly planted in our minds because WOW, what a treat. We tasted a few of their wines (all terrific) and settled on this one as the standout. They all rocked us with indulgent opulence.
Vice comes to us from the husband-and-wife team of Malek Amrani and Tori Greenberg. Malek is the winemaker, and after some successful entrepreneurial adventures, he turned to wine. Or maybe immersed is a better word. He got himself a Level 3 Sommelier certification in between doing triathlons. Now he handles everything from soup to nuts at The Vice. Tori meanwhile brings the branding side into focus, and she did a great job with the silkscreen and overall sexy packaging.
Malek sources grapes from some of the best locations in the valley - Stag’s Leap, Rutherford, or in this case, Coombsville. It’s GUSHING with rich, opulent fruit - the deep core of blueberry syrup and fig jam, the sweet tanned leather, and mocha. Raised in 100% new French oak brings that toasty coconut and vanilla and pipe tobacco into focus. CHEWY, with dusty fine-grained tannins, will settle a bit over time and suggest a long road ahead. Of course, if you can resist. Definitely on the richer side of the spectrum as we mentioned, but it has a seriousness that we think puts it in class with other popular big gun Napa Cabs. Think Caymus, Insignia, Silver Oak, etc…
Global Lifestyle profiles him and his wines best: “Originally from Morocco, Malek Amrani is a successful entrepreneur with his very own wine label, a self-taught Level 3 Sommelier, a Triathlon Certified Coach, and a 2019 TEAM USA Triathlon athlete. Amrani was so passionate about his vices that he named his business after them, proving that you can have your “Vice” and drink it too.”
Over $50 per bottle savings? We can’t really think of another Coombsville Cabernet at this price. Can you? Let us know if you find one.
Get as much as you can reasonably justify because it’ll be a sad day when you pop the last one…
