The Mystery Vineyard!

Mission Codename Ain't no mountain high enough

Sold out fast, huh. And sadly that may be the last Arns we’ll see for a while, got some? Lucky you!

If you missed though, here’s a worthy consolation prize from the peakiest peak in Napa… Atlas Peak!

Last year we offered their 2018 Toucher Vineyard proprietary red.

It too sold out.

Recently we brought you their 2019 Rutherford Cab.

Also sold out.

We’re now back with a last call on this Atlas Peak.

When we drop head-spinning discounts in the 70% area they don’t last long as you know. No longer $125. Or $75. Not even $50. Try $38.

Yes, you’re reading that correctly.

This comes from way up on Atlas Peak, and much of the fruit is sourced from Stagecoach Vineyard. This is where some of Napa’s most esteemed wines are bred - Chappellet, Krupp Brothers, Paul Hobbs. The list goes on and on. Every one priced from $80-$200 or more, by the way. This “craggy, boulder-strewn, wind-kissed” environment of volcanic soil yields some massively structured, complex as heck wines.

Like this bad boy.

Oh, and that ‘other’ vineyard in it? We can’t tell (under a strict NDA) but you’ll TASTE it too because what we can give you is a clue, it’s the highest elevation planted up there and with the most impressive acreage, owned by an iconic global wine family. Better change the subject before we’re caught…

It airdrops a juicy, deep black core of fruit straight into your mouth. Stacks of ripe blackberries. Juicy black currants, mulberries, fig jam, bittersweet chocolate, dried herbs, and a kiss of green pepper. Chalky, fine-grained tannins cling to your mouth and everything carries into a trans-Siberian railway finish. A spectacular bottle by any measure and unmatched at this price.

sigh

A ridiculous bargain. Only wish we had more to go around.
