Mission Codename As prEDICTed
âLovers of Napa Valley red wines in their more classic ripe, juicy, plush forms will want to hop on some of the 2019 offers when they come through and stock up.â â Wine Advocate
âBussin (adj): something is REALLY goodâ
As the kids say on TikTok, this wine is in fact, BUSSINâ. Especially if youâre the type who likes high-end Napa reds made by rockstar winemakers. But man, those prices! Most often they are NOT bussin. We hate coughing up big bucks for the experience.
Oh, wait.
Youâre riding shotgun with Wine Spies. Flo Rida is bumping and weâre taking it LOW, LOW, LOW. What weâre trying to say is youâll pay $51 LESS per bottle than everybody else. An incredible 64% savings!
Under $30 for a wine, this good is flat-out BONKERS.
Edict is known in small circles for making small lots of wine with King Midas richness. Theyâve recruited top talent winemaking over the years, from Jay Buoncristiani to Mark Herold and the KING himself, JULIAN FAYARD, the man behind Edict. The French-born star is known for his work at Smith Haut Lafitte, Lafite Rothschild, Covert Estate, and his own Julian Fayard wines.
Many of which get huge scores and run well into the $100-200+ range.
This 2019 (a beautiful vintage) Bordeaux style blend flashes everything you love about well-made Napa reds - flush with ripe fruit, almost âjammyâ but certainly boasting a ton of complexity and savory elements. Sourcing fruit from high on Mt Veeder obviously helps in that aspect. It has deep black and red fruits, warm plums, black cherry, and cassis. Chocolate-coated blueberries, and a healthy dose of expensive French oak - that 100% NEW Taransaud hits different. Warm spices find their way back into a finish that doesnât quit.
The quality to price ratio here is dramatic and cannot be overstated. Treat yourself to a few and thank us later. Move quick though - not enough to last the day we fear.
