For this fresh and crisply styled Chardonnay with citrus and pear flavors, and a fleshy, rich, and buttery finish, the grapes are sourced entirely from the Barnes Road Vineyard, located in the cool climate of the Russian River Valley growing region. These grapevines are VSP trellis, Clone 4 vines, and are cane pruned. On 18 acres of property, these Chardonnay vines have over 20 years of age and are certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. This Chardonnay is fermented in neutral French and American oak barrels - François Frères and World Cooperage barrels.
The craftsmanship and harmony that goes into the creation of this wine harken back to the artistry and skill required of the expert artisans who crafted crossbows centuries ago. With grapes picked at peak ripeness, aged in the best barrels, and blended for perfection, you can expect an exceptional bottle of wine. It has a straw yellow color, aromas of toasted biscuit, lemon curd, and orange blossom. Your palate is energized with flavors of juicy crisp apples, crème brulée, and freshly toasted bread, ending with a rich, long finish.
