Mission Codename I see food, I eat it
OH, SNAP!
Been running without a white wine for 3 weeks now, and it’s still hot as hell out there, what have we done???
To fix that, we bring back an Operative favorite, the CURE for all thirst, the mouthwatering-est of all whites… MUS-CA-DET!
We cannot emphasize the PURE joy your taste buds will experience when this $12 liquid lightning hits your lips. New synapses instantly form. Gray matter turns to…not gray. It might even elevate you to a higher state of consciousness.
Ever licked a nine-volt battery? It’s kind of like that except much less painful. Know what else isn’t painful? The price? A “just case me fam” deal if ever there was one. Mouthwatering Muscadet is the perfect wine to have on hand, any hour of the day, in large quantities for the summer.
An aromatic explosion of fresh-baked bread, preserved lemons, white blossoms, stony minerals, and fresh sea air greet you on the nose. And in the mouth is all about pure white peach, pear, and tart grapefruit, with zippy, vigorous acidity. This calls for a glimmering platter of “fruits of the sea” (Plateau de Fruits de Mer as the French call it) with all kinds of raw and cooked shellfish. Anyone living in Maine? Grab a lobster roll (and send us some fresh catch from the local pound!). And while you could enjoy this indoors, really this needs sunshine - lots of sunshine - for maximum pleasure.
Wine Spectator rated a previous vintage as “outstanding” for being “a wine of superior character and style” with a spot on tasting note: “This has a plump core of lemon and white peach framed by good zip, with chamomile and sel-gris accents along the edges. Finishes with a creamy feel.”
Nailed it.
We implore you to take a flyer on at least one or two - if not a baker’s dozen. For $12 it makes a perfect selection to round out that almost full locker!!
