Mission Codename The Deer Hunter
You know how it is when you go to see a concert with your favorite artist headlining. You wait for weeks with anticipation and finally the day rolls around. You get there and sit through all the openers. Sure… some of them are fine, but you’re pumped up for who you came to see and are ready to hear your jam. At last they come on stage and…. they hit you with all their new stuff. Some of it’s interesting but this just isn’t what you’re here for. You want your favorite song! And just when you couldn’t take it anymore, that facemelting riff hits your eardrums - YES!!!
Did you really think we’d let Cellar Stocker end without bringing you a Deerfield?! Heck no.
Wine Spies gives the people what they want! We’re rocking out with the wine you know and love.
And this is CLASSIC Deerfield - You can sing every word of this wine review, and every flavor note hits with a wave of nostalgia. Super deep low tones of big black fruit. Electrifying chords of complex harmonies of different varietals. Robert Rex’s winemaking technique takes center stage with a power ballad of unexpected grapes - the Cab shredding on the main guitar, backed by Malbec on keys, Petite Sirah jamming on bass, Franc tearing up the drums, Merlot blowing that horn, and back up vocals by none other than Petit Verdot. The chorus hits and your body enters another dimension entirely.
But what’s old is new… So new in fact, that to help us celebrate our Next Gen Launch Party, Deerfield allowed us the honor of releasing the 2014 vintage of this legendary Cabernet. Today is the first chance anyone in the world has had to get their hands on a bottle. It has all that luscious, mouthcoating richness you love in Deerfield wines - chocolate covered blackberries, ripe blueberry, a hint of eucalyptus, and some toasty oak. BIG, loud, and fruit forward, just how you like it.
If you’ve never heard this song before, this is that artist that your friends won’t shut up about. When you finally give them a listen, you always regret not checking them out sooner. They might even be your new favorite. So don’t miss out, because, just like tickets to a Depeche Mode concert, they go fast…
