Big, fun, full-bodied summer BBQ wine. We have experimented with several varietals and blends in our rosé over the years, and have settled on Syrah sourced in Sonoma Valley. Like many serendipitous moments in history, the first Go for BIG PINK was a bit of a mistake. We ended up with huge sugars and decided to remove some of the juice and make rosé about 36 hours after harvest - so the juice was “on the skins” for a long time.
The color was BIG, the flavors were BIG and my ’68 Harley has always been know as BIG PINK, so it was natural to call it BIG PINK. It was such a hit we make it the same way every year, maybe not as BIG in the color department, but certainly BIG in flavor. Cent’ anni, all the best, and just celebrate. We all deserve it.
