Mission Codename TY as in Thank You
“I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love”
Was Taylor talking about this hulking, brooding, wrecking ball of a Cabernet? Because it absolutely bowled us over and CRUSHED our already high expectations. Then we found out we could drop it for $22… we blinked a few times (just like that famous meme) in pure incredulity. What an obvious no-brainer. Make it so!
For new Ops around here, that’s one of the LOWEST prices on a Ty Caton Cabernet we’ve ever had in our long 10+ years of offering his killer wines.
Given how popular his wines are, and how hugely they overdeliver, this one’s gonna FLY.
Ty makes some dead-serious Cabs from his storied estate hillside vineyard high atop the Mayacamas range in the Moon Mountain District. We’re quite sure If these came from the Napa side of the mountain, the prices would be 2-3x as high! This particular wine brings 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah, and 4% Merlot to the table. And well it’s exactly what you’d expect from Ty - monstrous flavor, chewy and dense, and a total crowd-pleaser. Loaded to the gills with all manner of sweet fruit. There are prune and fig, black cherries and licorice, along with a bit of melted dark chocolate and some vanilla and sandalwood too. Enjoy on its own, with a hearty steak, or some aged cheddar.
Incredible value here, really, and a total “case me up fam” type deal. We filled our trunks as usual and urge you to do the same.
Because if you’re still reading this inventory is moving fast and running low, like a Dachshund race.
