Guy Adams is the fifth generation to live and work the ‘Metala’ Vineyards in Langhorne Creek South Australia which has remained in the family since his great great grandfather William Formby bought the property in 1882 and planted vines in 1891. Earlier in 1877, William Formby purchased the old Queens Theatre in Adelaide and renovated it to house the first undercover horse trading bazaar (accommodating nearly 500 horses in yards, boxes and stalls). The Bazaar sign still hangs over the door today.
Deep magenta with a vibrant hue in colour. Distinct dark blackcurrant fruit aromas along with a complex cedar and spice character. This wine has mouth-filling upfront fruits which combine with fine grained tannins to provide a generous yet elegant wine.
